Well, I've just booked myself a nice fortnight of boarding over Christmas in Nagano.
I'm wondering if anyone has any gear they'd be willing to sell/rent/lend me (164cm, which is 5`5" in old money)?
Alternatively, does anyone have any ideas on places to aquire said gear on the cheap?

Moriyama Sports Winter Pit. If you go now they're having their summer clearance sale. Or closer to winter the recycle shops start putting out their snowboarding gear.

All of the ski hills I have been to have rental of both skis and boards. I found that they were good enough quality. I think that is the way to go if you are just going to rent.....then you don:t have to haul it there and back!
