Local community

We believe that connecting with a local community is one of the keys to a high quality of life abroad. At ESL well, we help you connect with your local community by showing group and community content that is local and relevant to you on your home page.

Shared Resources

Our focus is on enabling and empowering local community, but we also believe there is enormous value in sharing resources. As such, the ESL materials, maps and information about local places, and knowledge about living and working abroad on ESL well are public and can be easily shared between communities.

Service

Our core principal of service informs our commitment to incorporate feedback and build the best tools we can, keep the ESL well service free, and provide tools to our users that facilitate their own service to the host communities in which they live.

Open Source

ESL well was built upon the fantastic and open source Drupal framework with a lot of help over the months from various members of the world-wide Drupal community. We owe them a huge debt of thanks and will be working over the coming months to give some of the tools we've custom built for ESL well back to the Drupal community for others to use and benefit from.
